Dr Renu Bahuguna is presently an Associate Professor in the Department and has been teaching in the College since 2005. Before joining the ARSD College, she also taught undergraduate students in Kalindi College, Satyawati College and Kamala Nehru College of the University of Delhi for different periods between 1997 and 2005. She did her Post Graduation and M. Phil in History from the University of Delhi with specialisation in Medieval Indian History. She was awarded the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy by the M D University, Rohtak, for her doctoral thesis on “Gender and Devotion in North Indian Vaishnavism (16th-17th Centuries)”. She has published research papers on the late medieval bardic and modern historiographic representations of Maharana Pratap, and on the gendered dimensions of Vaishnava Bhakti in northern India during the Mughal period. She teaches courses on Medieval Indian History, Modern Indian History and Early Modern World to the students of B.A. (Hons.) and B.A. (Programme) students in the College.
